Shared golf scorecards

Keep score the honest way.

Set up a round, share one link, and everyone keeps score from their own phone. No app to install, no accounts, and one leaderboard the whole group is reading from.

How it works

Three steps, one link.

  1. 1
    Set up the round

Name the day, pick the date, add everyone playing and set par for all eighteen holes. It takes about a minute.

  2. 2
    Share one link

You get a permanent link and a QR code. Text it to the group or hold up the code on the first tee for everyone to scan.

  3. 3
    Everyone scores

Each player opens the same round on their own phone. Scores go in hole by hole and the leaderboard updates for the whole group.

On the card

Everything a round needs.

Live leaderboard

Everyone ranked by score against par, so a card three holes in never leads a finished round on stroke count alone.

A real scorecard

Eighteen ruled holes with par printed and strokes written in, closing on an OUT and IN total the way a paper card does.

The Honest Score game

Declare the score you think you will shoot. Six holes are drawn at random afterwards and forgiven down to par. Closest to your declaration wins — go under it and you are out.

Modified Match Play

Two sides with handicap strokes, so anyone can beat anyone. The strokes decide who takes each hole and your real score decides what taking it was worth — a birdie pays more than a bogey.

Skins

Every hole is worth a skin, and you only take it by being outright lowest. Match each other and it carries — three quiet holes can make the fourth worth four.

How Honest Score works, how Modified Match Play is scored, how Skins carries, every other format worth playing.

Questions

Before you start.

Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to remember. Whoever has the event link can open the round and record scores on it.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Fairway Walker runs in the browser on any phone. Open the link you were sent and start scoring.
How many golfers can play?
Between one and one hundred golfers in a single round, and you can add or remove players after scoring has already started.
How long does an event link last?
A round stays open until the end of the seventh day after the date it was played, then it closes on its own. Nothing is kept after that.
Does it cost anything?
No. Creating a round and sharing it is free.
Can everyone score at the same time?
Yes. Players score from their own phones at the same time, and edits to different holes do not overwrite one another.
